Helping Patients Fight Cancer with Knowledge

The health care professionals at Simmons Cancer Center believe it is important for people fighting cancer to learn about their disease. We talk with you about the disease and how it is affecting you and your loved ones. We share other patients’ experiences of coping with and conquering their cancer. We encourage you to understand what you can do personally, every day, to make the most of treatment and to improve your outcomes.

Often we are able to provide printed material, along with other tools and resources you gather for yourself. UT Southwestern has also invested in an in-depth online knowledge base managed by a nationally recognized vendor. The links below access this Cancer Health Library, pre-selecting three kinds of information about cancer for your convenience.

Your Simmons health care team urges you to learn all you can and to ask questions when they arise. Our goal is for you and your loved ones to maintain a high level of wellbeing as we fight your cancer together.
